MEET AMBER

Amber Summer is a Modern Contemporary Artist based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire and works around creating paintings that capture the abstract reality of the human condition, her paintings have a fantasy/dystopian presence that outshines the forever-expanding world of modern art. Her practice consists of using a wide range of media such as oil paints, pastels, digital art and sketching to create vivid pieces that raise awareness around mental health furthermore encapsulating her struggles with PTSD and Anxiety, through vivid colours and abstract facial expressions she is able to become a voice for those who feel like they cannot speak up, letting them know that they are not alone. She graduated with a BA Hons degree in Fine art in 2024 and continues to be a rising star in the making having been nominated for the WSA painting prize in 2024 and recently had a successful exhibition at the Truman Brewery in London ‘Refract (2024)’. Amber is dedicated to raising awareness about mental health, working across Hertfordshire with local mental health charities to help young people become more confident in themselves and consider a career in art, helping express their artistic capabilities.
